Bramble Lodge has four comfortable lounges for the use of residents, day care visitors and their families and friends. Each lounge has a view of the gardens.
We have two small kitchen areas for the use of residents and their guests. These can be used to make drinks and light snacks.
There are two separate Dining Rooms, a bright and spacious Activities Room and a Hairdressing Salon.
There are lifts available to access all floors.
Bramble Lodge offers fifty nine single bedrooms and three double rooms. They are all comfortable and well furnished. All meet, and generally exceed, the requirements of 10 sq m as detailed in the Health and Social Care Act 2008. Each room has its own key and a lockable cabinet. Privacy is of paramount importance and staff do not enter a resident’s room without knocking. Each room has a call system with which to summon staff assistance.
The rooms are of varying size and design, most having their own en-suite facilities consisting of a wet room style shower, toilet and wash basin. All have the appropriate safety equipment for the needs of the resident. The double rooms have large en-suite bathrooms, which would easily cater for a resident with a wheelchair. Those rooms without en-suite facilities have a vanity unit and adequate bathrooms and toilets nearby.
Residents are welcome to bring their own belongings with them; the only restrictions will be size and that all items comply with the fire regulations (details are available from the manager). Encouragement is given to residents to personalise their room; so making it more like home. Each room has a telephone point and TV Point.
Specially equipped bathrooms and shower rooms are available for the use of all residents.
The home has its own well equipped laundry. There is no extra charge for any items washed in the home’s laundry. Dry Cleaning can be arranged through the care manager or housekeeper at an additional charge.
Home cooked meals are prepared by our kitchen staff with three choices at each mealtime. We aim to provide a balanced and varied diet. We endeavour to include residents favourite meals. Anyone having a particular request should see Janet, the head cook. Special diets are catered for.
If someone is going out, or has visitors, a meal can be arranged for a different time.

The gardens have frequently won awards in the Erewash in Bloom competition which is run each year by the local borough council.
The mature trees encourage many birds, butterflies and squirrels. We have also made provision in our building for the roosting of bats.
